What is volumetric weight?

What is volumetric weight?

The price for shipping a package depends not only on where you are shipping to, but also the volumetric weight, which is based on weight and dimensions. This means the volumetric weight may exceed the actual weight of the parcel, as it factors in how much space your item is likely to take up in the delivery network including vans and aircraft.

Our shipping calculator works the volumetric weight out for you, so please provide accurate details when you want to get a shipping price so we can price the cost of delivery up properly. If you do not declare all the package details correctly, you can run into hefty additional charges and shipping delays.
